Rachel Werner, a Certified Project Management Professional since 2010. She began her career as a New York City public-school teacher which parlayed into a two-decade career of work in the public sector. She is the Owner and CEO of RBW Strategy, LLC and oversees a team of nonprofit consultants on grants, fundraising, and project management engagements with nonprofits across the country.
She has over 17 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, and 13 years of experience managing large-scale projects in the nonprofit, government and private sectors as a staff member and consultant. She leverages her project management skills gained from the corporate and government sectors to her work in the nonprofit sector. This includes such project deliverables as creating a fundraising calendar, development plan, risk management plan, and a project charter for a collaborative proposal.
Rachel loves to organize and create better efficiencies to make work easier and reduce administrative burdens. She is an active member of the Project Management Institute, Grant Professionals Association, and Association of Fundraising Professionals, and regularly conducts in-person and online trainings at national and local conferences.
